A farewell celebration was recently held at the RAF Club to mark the retirement of Director and Head of Business Development, Barry Wood. Barry joined us at CJ Associates in 2000. He was appointed as a Director in 2013. Barry’s consummate professionalism and boundless energy has helped the Company grow and develop and he has made a huge contribution to clients as a project and programme manager drawing on his substantial experience in infrastructure development and delivery. Over the years Barry worked on many of our largest projects including Thames Tideway Tunnel, Allenby & Connaught, Docklands Light Railway, Midland Metro Extensions and the East London Line Extension. Barry’s in-depth knowledge of the industry was gained over many years working in a variety of roles in the transport, water, and oil & gas sectors, both here in the UK and many other parts of the world. In 2007 he agreed to share his expertise with the next generation of professionals by lecturing on construction project management topics to MSc students at City University, London. The university appointed him an Honorary Visiting Professor and he intends to continue this good work into his retirement. We thank Barry for his huge contribution to our success during the past 18 years and wish him, his wife Lesley, and their family all the best as he embarks on this new project.
