Kate is an experienced communications professional with experience in communications and engagement in both the private and public sector. She has developed a wide range of skills and expertise in external relations, media relations, public affairs and stakeholder engagement through her experience with a number of large organisations and infrastructure projects.
Kate led the stakeholder engagement with the emergency services and key asset owners for the Lower Thames Crossing. As well as delivering a programme of technical engagement, Kate led on strategic engagement to support statutory consultation and key project milestones and was responsible for facilitating agreements and drafting Statements of Common Ground with stakeholders to support the submission of the DCO. Kate undertook the communications for the Elizabeth line, supporting the delivery of the line for when it becomes fully operational, including the launch of the first new train. She led on stakeholder engagement activities for TfL Rail to support rail closures and responded to enquiries from MPs and Assembly Members. She worked proactively to identify opportunities to engage with stakeholders on the west section of the route and wrote and implemented communications plans in preparation for Bakerloo line major closure and Shenfield major closure. Kate also worked for HS2 as a Community Stakeholder Advisor, working closely with a range of stakeholders to deliver clear and concise information on the development of one of Britain’s biggest infrastructure projects.
Kate is an extremely effective communicator with strong leadership skills and is used to working under pressure in rapidly changing environments and high-profile projects.
