DLR 3-Car Enhancement Project

A project to extend platforms and replace canopies to facilitate the running of 3-car trains between Bank and Lewisham stations on the Docklands Light Railway. The project also included a new station at South Quay and the construction of a new platform at Mudchute Station on the Isle of Dogs.

We were engaged by DLR to discharge conditions attached to the deemed planning permission in advance of the award of the construction contract on the 12 stations along the route. We led the pre-submission consultation with the four affected local authorities and collaborated with the project design managers and architects to produce detailed submissions on design and external appearance, landscaping and surface water drainage. We also assisted DLR in the review of construction tenders for the project.
