John is a Chartered Town Planner with over ten years of experience in advising, managing and delivering a range of planning activities on major infrastructure projects and major development schemes. John has a thorough understanding and experience of hybrid Bill, Development Consent Order, and Transport and Works Act Order processes and consenting regimes. He also has experience of environmental impact assessment, with specialist knowledge in town planning and thorough knowledge on flood risk, highways and waste and water resources issues.

John’s most recent role as Town Planning Manager at HS2 Ltd included preparing for construction and the delivery of planning consents associated with the hybrid Bill, negotiating with stakeholders through the parliamentary process and supporting the preparation of the Phase One Environmental Statement for parliamentary deposit.
