Adam is a Chartered Town Planner with 10 years’ experience advising on, managing and delivering planning and consenting activities on major transport infrastructure projects and large-scale development schemes in the UK. Adam has a thorough understanding of Town and Country Planning Act processes, and major infrastructure planning regimes including hybrid Bill, Development Consent Order, and Transport and Works Act Order processes. 

He is currently seconded into HS2 Ltd to help prepare the project for main works civils start. Additionally, Adam has recently supported the preparation of a Development Consent Order for Highways England and the implementation of the Transport and Works Act Order for the Barking Riverside Overground Extension.

Prior to these roles, Adam lead on all planning matters for the new high speed rail station at London Euston, he advised project teams and designers on Act planning matters and powers, led negotiations with the local planning authority and managed and obtained planning consents. Adam also played a key role in the hybrid Bill parliamentary process, supporting the parliamentary petition process and leading on the drafting of key planning statutory instruments.

Adam also has extensive experience delivering infrastructure schemes under the Planning Acts, having led on planning and stakeholder engagement for several wind energy schemes. On these schemes Adam managed and produced planning applications and provided advice on EIA and planning policy requirements. He also led on engagement with local planning authorities, statutory consultees, stakeholders and the public.
