Heathrow Airtrack

Project Name: Heathrow Airtrack

Client Name: BAA

Project Background:

Heathrow AirTrack is a proposed new rail link to improve public transport access to Heathrow by connecting the airport with the national rail network to the south and west of the airport. Train services will connect Heathrow terminal 5 to London Waterloo, Guildford and Reading.

Project Support:

We initially provided advice to Surrey County Council on the appointment and management of consultants’ proposals to undertake the scheme development and advised the client during the development of an Influencing Strategy to present benefits of AirTrack to key decision makers and government departments.

After the scheme received approval to proceed to the next stage, we were engaged as Project Manager by BAA who have taken on the role of project sponsor. We are currently managing the further development of the project, including the preparation and promotion of a TWA application on BAA’s behalf, public consultation and stakeholder engagement.
